Accessible Hotel in Florence Italy

Grand Hotel Mediterraneo helps ensure that everyone has a comfortable stay with ten rooms having extra wide entrances and bathrooms (with showers) adapted for our disabled guests. The 10 accessible rooms are Classic and Superior. 

The main entrance to the hotel is equipped with an electric ramp and, in the South Wing, you can access the main lobby even with bulky equipment and aids thanks to the elevators capable of carrying up to 530 kg.

For visually impaired guests we provide audio guides in English and Italian and lifts with Braille numbers. The hotel staff are always available to accompany you to your room and guide dogs are most welcome.

The hotel has a semi-automatic defibrillator (DEA) that can communicate a patient’s condition to guide the operator in its use and the hotel staff have been trained in first aid by the Italian Red Cross.

The kitchen of the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is a member of the Italian Celiac Association and offers a gluten free food option for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
