Your tour begins in the morning with the discovery of one of the most beautiful and romantic sights in the whole of Tuscany, Piazzale Michelangelo, from which to admire breathtaking views of the city. After which we move on to the Accademia Gallery, famous for its spectacular statue of David by Michelangelo (the gallery has seven original sculptures by the master, the largest collection in the world) and his unfinished works; Prisoners, St. Matthew and the Pietà of Palestrina. The tour ends in Piazza Duomo to discover the beauty of the Baptistery, with its gold gild Porta del Paradiso, the Cathedral and the secrets of Giotto's bell tower.
In the afternoon, starting at Fiesole, an Etruscan-Roman town, you take a scenic route where you can enjoy an exceptional view of Florence and the Arno Valley; then back towards the centre, across the river Arno, to reach Piazza Santa Croce with its Basilica, then moving on to the heart of the city, Piazza della Signoria, where you can admire the architecture of Palazzo Vecchio and the famous statues of the Loggia dei Lanzi; then finally, we visit the Uffizi gallery which displays some of the most important works of Leonardo, Giotto, Raphael, Botticelli and Michelangelo.
Walking through the picturesque hills of Chianti, the tour begins with a visit to Monteriggioni, a small medieval village which still has intact city walls which revive the atmosphere of a bygone age. Next stop and inevitably, you visit Siena, famous for its splendid examples of Gothic architecture, such as the Torre del Mangia and the Palazzo Pubblico, located in the beautiful Piazza del Campo and, organised every year, the ‘Palio di Siena’ and then a visit to and interior tour of the Duomo di Siena Cathedral, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in all of Italy.
The tour continues onward with a visit to San Gimignano, a fascinating medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and known for its towers and famous white wine, "Vernaccia". Then finally, a visit to the Chianti area, where a tasting of the best red Chianti wine in a rustic wine cellar is possible as well as recommended.
Your tour begins with a stroll around the ancient medieval walls until you reach the famous Porta Santa Maria, where you can admire the magnificent Piazza dei Miracoli and its architectural wonders: the Cathedral, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, in which you can also tour the interior; the Baptistery and the monumental cemetery, rich in paintings and sculptures by some of the most famous artists of Pisa; Finally, your tour ends with a visit to and climb of, the famous Leaning Tower.
