The new face of the Grand Hotel Palatino

There will be 4 themes within which the cognitive experiences will be developed: Curiosity, Mystery, Myth and Superstition. Hidden Gems is just that, discovering the hidden gems in terms of secrets, curiosities and mysteries, of the city of Rome.

“Through the ‘‘artistic performances’’, positioned in appropriately designed places of the hotel, the customer will come into contact with the legend of Rome and its hidden gems,” explains Architect Marco Giammetta, “The work of art will act as a catalyst and centralizer of interest, in order to drive the guest to approach and, in observing the work, perceive its metaphorical meaning”.

Inside the hotel, guests will be fascinated by works of art that tell stories and reveal secrets about the city of Rome. A QR code associated with each work will allow guests to interact and discover additional hidden gems within the hotel, creating an engaging path of knowledge.

The renovation will involve all areas of the hotel and includes the creation of a luxurious SPA on the -1 floor, a welcoming lobby on the ground floor, a bar with a focus on the art of “mixology”, two multifunctional rooms and a gourmet restaurant. On the second floor, a panoramic terrace will house a lounge bar with a view of the Monti district.

The eight upper floors will house 157 rooms and suites of various types, all designed with sustainable materials to reduce environmental impact. Taps and sanitary fixtures with low water consumption, eco-friendly ceramics, paints with a low content of volatile organic compounds and wooden floors with recycled materials are just some of the choices aimed at sustainability.

We will adopt advanced technologies to reduce energy consumption and pursue LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability.

Light will play a key role in generating unique atmospheres within the hotel, with lighting scenarios that adapt to the different phases of the day. In addition, we will pay special attention to sound insulation, ensuring a peaceful environment in the rooms and meeting rooms.

The lighting design will be carefully studied, with a focus on the works of art that will be the interpreters of Rome’s hidden secrets, revealed during the “Hidden Gems” itinerary.

The Grand Hotel Palatino will become an oasis of luxury and knowledge, a place where guests can immerse themselves in the history and mystery of Rome. “DO YOU KNOW” will be the key to activate the guest’s mind in the game of discovery.
