Metro
The quickest way to get to the Fountain is undoubtedly by subway.
The closest stop is "Barberini", served by the A line. Going down the escalators that will bring you back into the sunlight, you will be about 700 meters from the fountain.
Once you are in Piazza Barberini, look for Via del Tritone. Walk along this lively street for about 500 meters, admiring the elegant shop windows and cafes that line it.
When you reach the intersection with Via dei Poli, turn left. From here, the sound of the water and the bustle of the crowd will lead you straight to the Trevi Fountain.
Tram
If you prefer a more scenic experience, the tram is a great alternative.
The closest tram station is Piazza Venezia, served by line 8 of the Rome tram network.
Get off the tram in this iconic square, surrounded by historic monuments, and you are about 900 meters from the fountain.
Enjoy the walk and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Cross Piazza Venezia and admire the imposing Altar of the Fatherland.
Continue along the narrow, winding streets that lead to the fountain and be enchanted by the artisan shops and typical trattorias that you will encounter along the way.
Bus
The bus is a comfortable and versatile way to reach the Trevi Fountain.
Several lines will bring you within walking distance of the Fountain: 52, 53, 62, 63, 71, 83, 85, 117, 160, 492 (Tritone - Fontana di Trevi stop).
Once you get off, you are only 300 meters from the Trevi Fountain.
On foot
Walking is undoubtedly the most authentic and appealing way to immerse yourself in the monumental beauty of Rome.

For example, consider starting your walk in Piazza del Popolo, with its majestic Porta del Popolo and twin churches. From there, you can take the iconic Viale del Corso and continue down the avenue until you see, on your left, Via delle Muratte, which will lead you to the wonder of the Trevi Fountain.
