May 1 opens with energy thanks to Jovanotti's live concert "PalaJova 2025" at the Palazzo dello Sport, while on Sunday, May 4, you can take advantage of free admission to the state museums, a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in art without spending a euro.
For exhibition lovers, Rome is a paradise this month: there are extraordinary exhibitions dedicated to Picasso, with "The Stranger" at the Museo del Corso; Munch, with "The Inner Cry" at Palazzo Bonaparte; and Salvador Dalí, with "Between Art and Myth" at the Historical Museum of the Infantry.
But the offer does not end there.
The National Roman Museum is hosting exhibitions by Tony Cragg and the photographer Gabriele Basilico until May 4, while the Museo di Roma in Trastevere is hosting a solo exhibition by Nicola Sansone until May 6.
For lovers of the 17th century, the exhibition on Bernini and 17th-century painting at Palazzo Chigi, open until May 18, and the exhibition on the Farnese family in 16th-century Rome at the Capitoline Museums are not to be missed. Photography lovers will also enjoy the Franco Fontana retrospective at the Ara Pacis Museum, open until August 31. And for something a little more pop, don't miss "Journey into Pop Art" at the Vaccheria, which runs until May 31.
